What to do About Sweating Feet

Do your feet sweat excessively? This can not only be uncomfortable and embarrassing, it can become a health problem. If you suffer from sweating feet you can not only have a problem of stinky feet you can also develop a fungus that can become a health problem. This article will cover several things you can try to stop your feet from sweating to excess. You can try all of these things, but don't try them all at once. Try one or two at a time. The first thing to do is obviously, take good care of your hygiene. Most people do, but they forget about their feet. Since you have a problem of sweating feet which usually becomes a problem of smelly feet, wash your feet at least twice a day with some antibacterial soap. Be sure that you dry your feet completely and then put some foot powder or some baking soda on your feet, even between your toes. This will help to keep your feet dry.

Try soaking your feet every day for about 30 minutes, in black tea. Boil 2 quarts of water with 5 tea bags in it. Let it steep for 15 minutes. Add about 2 quarts of cold water. Soak your feet. The tannic acid in the tea will kill odor causing bacteria on your feet and it shrinks the pores of your feet, which reduces sweating. Wash the tea off with soap to prevent staining, and thoroughly dry your feet. Apply baking soda or talcum powder. Do this every day for a while. If you get good results, reduce the number of times to 3 times a week and eventually to a when needed basis. If black tea does not begin to help within a week or two, switch to Epson salt and warm water for soaking your feet in. Follow the same regimen. Soak your feet everyday for 30 minutes. If this does not begin to help within a week, try white vinegar and warm water. One of these will help improve the problem of sweating feet.

Drink a cup of tomato juice each day. It is believed to reduce sweating. You can also use a prescription strength antiperspirant on your feet. This may sound strange, but it will help reduce the sweating feet problem to a certain degree. At night before you go to bed, sprinkle baking soda or foot powder in your shoes, to help them dry out. Never wear wet shoes. Have several pairs of shoes so you can alternate been them. Don't wear socks to bed. Let your feet breath at night.

If soaking your feet does not help and the antiperspirants don't help, try one of the homeopathic remedies for excessive sweating. Just be aware that homeopathic treatments will take a while to work. There are also some Chinese Herbal remedies that have worked well for some people. Remember to try one thing, then move on if it doesn't work. Having sweating feet is not the end of the world, but if you try several different treatments you will probably get good enough results that you can turn your attention to more important things.
