What Causes Excessive Facial Sweating?

Facial perspiration is a good thing since it provides an array of benefits. But excessive facial sweating is a whole other story. It can be quite embarrassing to sweat in unnatural situations. Worse, it can also cause some health problems related to the liquids and minerals lost through perspiring. But you can`t really tackle a problem without knowing the causes, right? Several factors can trigger excess perspiring in the facial area. What are they?

When we feel anxious or stressed, we tend to perspire more. Hey, everyone gets worried or stressed at some point in their lives! It`s normal. But some people perspire more frequently in the facial region, while others sweat buckets there. So if you fit in either of those categories, then be prepared to sweat more when you feel like biting your nails or pulling your hair out.

Skipping meals can also cause your face to sweat more than usual. This is due to the low blood sugar level of your body. When those levels become low, your body can experience an array of symptoms, including facial sweating. When that happens, it`s time to boost your blood sugar levels, by eating some fruit.

Next, there are thyroid problems. Thyroid glands manufacture hormones, which are chemicals that allow your organs to perform particular functions. So what do thyroids have to do with sweating? The quantity of hormones that the thyroid gland produces can create a variety of problems. When your body manufacturers too many hormones, “hyperthyroidism” occurs. When that happens, the temperature in your body can rise—which in turn can cause you to suffer from excessive or frequent facial sweating.

If you`re a female, then you can suffer from too much facial perspiring, due to menopause. What happens? You can experience “hot flashes,” or a quick hot sensation on the skin. Some of the other symptoms of hot flashes include a faster heartbeat, excessive heat above the waist and (you guessed it!) intense perspiring. Hot flashes affect different women differently. However, those who experience “cranial hyperhidrosis” could suffer from heavy sweating on their face and head.

Yet another cause of excessive sweating in the face, is suffering from a heart attack or stroke. While heart attacks involve irregular or stopped heartbeats, a stroke happens when a blood vessel in the brain bursts or becomes blocked. After experiencing this major event, several symptoms follow, including chest pain. Another symptom that heart attack and stroke sufferers experience is major perspiration in the head and facial region.

Finally your problem with excessive facial sweating could be in your genes. If your parents, brothers, or sisters suffered from excessive sweating in the facial area, then you`ll be more likely to suffer from the same condition. While there`s no guarantee that you`ll inherit the ability to sweat bullets and buckets from your face, you`ll be more likely to have the condition.

If your face perspires after playing basketball or working in your garden, that`s normal. But if you experience major facial sweating at odd times, then it`s time to find a safe and effective holistic remedy! Get your hands on the ebook Stop Sweating and Start Living and read up on hyperhidrosis. You'll be glad you did!
