How to Control Excessive Sweating
If you suffer from excessive sweating there are things you can do to try and reduce or control the level of sweating you do. You should always stay hydrated. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Don't drink extremely cold water because your body temperature will rise to bring your internal temperature back in line after the cold water decreased the temperature. Drink water at room temperature or a little bit cooler. Eat fruits and vegetables and fish as apposed to more fatty foods. Also do not overeat. Your body has to work harder to digest fatty foods and large amounts of food, and therefore will build heat more when doing so. Foods that are high in sugar are also believed to increase the amount of sweat the body produces. Avoid spicy foods all together. Spicy food will cause you to sweat excessively. Wear loose fitting clothes, made of cotton or light weight fabrics. Avoid tight clothing or clothing that is made from material that will not let your skin breath. These types of clothes will surely make you sweat more. Shave under your arms regularly. This should help reduce excessive sweating and it will help reduce the odor from sweating also. Avoid alcohol if you want to control excessive sweating. Alcohol increases the body temperature and will cause sweating. Some people have found that drinking hot green tea is a good way to control excessive sweating. Get a prescription strength antiperspirant from your doctor. These contain aluminum chloride which can help block the sweat glands preventing sweat from coming through the skin.
